Who we are
Dirgle (“we,” “us”) is a free tool that helps parents find children's activities by how a kid engages, not by category. It's run by Lozar Media and lives at getdirgle.com. This policy covers what happens to information when you use the site.
What we collect
Not much, by design. The only personal information we collect is what you choose to give us:
- Your email address, if you enter it in one of our signup forms to hear when Dirgle launches or reaches your area.
- A location, only if you type one in (a town or ZIP) when you ask us to let you know when we come to your area. We use it to tell which regions people want next.
- Your approximate location from your IP address, worked out automatically by our hosting provider, so we can show you the right region and know whether Dirgle is live where you are. We don't store this tied to you.
When you sign up we also record which page you did it from and the date — plain context, so we know how people found us.
What we don't collect
- Anything about your child. The quiz asks how a child tends to engage — it never asks for their name, or anything that identifies them. Dirgle is built for the parent, and your kid stays anonymous to us.
- Your quiz answers. They live only in your browser to build your results, and are gone when you close the tab. They're never sent to or stored on our servers.
- No accounts, no passwords. You don't log in to use Dirgle, so there's nothing like that to collect.
- No advertising trackers, no selling or renting of your information, no third-party ad cookies.
How we use what we collect
We use your email to tell you when Dirgle launches or reaches your area — a short note, not a stream of marketing. We use a location you give us to figure out which markets to build next. That's the whole list. If we ever start sending more than launch updates, we'll say so and give you a way to opt out in every message.
Cookies and local storage
We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. We do use your browser's temporary storage (sessionStorage) to carry your quiz answers from the quiz to your results — a technical necessity that clears itself when you close the tab.
Who else touches your data
We use a couple of trusted service providers to run the site. We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
- Supabase — our database host, which stores the email (and any location) you give us.
- Vercel — our site host, which serves Dirgle and processes requests, including IP addresses, as part of delivering the site.
When you click through to a program, you leave Dirgle for that provider's own website — their privacy practices are their own, not ours.
How long we keep it
We keep your signup for as long as it's useful for telling you about Dirgle, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email lozarmedia@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.
Children's privacy
Dirgle is made for parents and other adults, not for children. We don't knowingly collect any information from a child. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email lozarmedia@gmail.com and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be made clear, not buried.
